|The Taruma Pousada ( Motel ) is an unusual small motel with a well landscaped garden. There are a few single cabins and a main dormitory of 8 rooms.
Breakfast is served in the early morning and a a bar is avaialble at night at dinner time. There are Mangos, Pineapples and Coconuts growing in the garden and many ornamental plants. The motel is situated north of the town of Mucuri in the state of Bahia. Mucuri is a beach side town and the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the motel

OF COURSE THERE IS THE VERY STRONG BRAZILIAN COFFEE.
|CAPARHINA IS A TRADITIONAL DRINK MADE FROM CRUSHED LIME (LEMONS) AND SUGAR. THE REMAINING GLASS IS FILLED WITH CRUSHED ICE AND PINGA OR RUM.|

|PINGA IS A FERMENTED RUM, USUALLY 39-40% ALCOHOL. IT HAS A VERY DISTINCTIVE TASTE OF SUGAR CANE AND BACKGROUND FLAVOR DEPENDING ON THE MAKER. PINGARIAS ARE STORES THAT HAVE A VARIETY OF PINGA PRODUCTS STORED IN LARGE WOODEN BARREL OR CASKS.|
